Welcome to the University Pre-Primary a happy little community pre-primary school in a beautiful Victorian house in the Rondebosch area, Cape Town.

The school was established in 1972 by lecturers at UCT in the hope that the university would fund the school for their children, but that didn’t happen and the Education Department took it on. A few years later the school moved to its present premises near Rondebosch Common in Rosebank, where it continues as an independent pre-primary school with a government subsidy.

Our school caters for two classes: Pre-Grade R and Grade R. We are proud to have turned out many high achievers and prefects, and we are happy to all work closely together, finding that parents and children make friendships that last for years.
